It's the last full week of January and it's been another busy week in Richmond!

20mph speed limit extended to A310 and A305 corridors:

The 20mph speed limit has been extended to the A310 and A305 corridors.

The Transport and Air Quality Committee approved the lowering of the speed limit on the A305 Staines Road and A310 Kingston Road from 30mph to 20mph on Monday 13 November 2023. 

The rollout of the new 20mph speed limit has now begun.

Richmond residents object Ottolenghi licence application over noise concerns:

Residents have objected to plans to open an Ottolenghi in Richmond over concerns about noise and anti-social behaviour. 

An application was submitted to Richmond Council in December for the new restaurant on Hill Street to sell alcohol and play live music. 

But with the council's licensing committee due to consider the application on Monday (January 29), a report due to be discussed by councillors shows 15 objections have been lodged by locals.

Man pleads guilty to Richmond Park Golf Club theft:

A man has pleaded guilty at Kingston Crown Court to a theft from Richmond Park Golf Club.

Mr Thomas O'Connell, 31, pleaded guilty on January 11.

A statement from Royal Parks Police said: "On June 6 2023 Mr O'Connell picked up an unattended bag of golf clubs, worth £900, from outside the club house, before running away".

A mum of three disabled kids who has been battling leaks in their flat in Kew since 2015 feels trapped in a 'waiting game' as she fears mysterious bulging in the ceiling is a sign it's going to 'explode' with water at any moment. 

Katie, whose name has been changed as she wishes to remain anonymous, claimed walls in her two-bed flat in Maple House, Kew, are bulging and she is concerned this is due to leakage.
