Free NHS Health Checks offered at more Richmond pharmacies:

NHS Health Checks are now being offered at even more local pharmacies.

If you are over 40 you may be eligible for this free, quick check, which can help to identify risks before any problems occur.

Free NHS Health Checks are available every five years to people aged between 40 and 74 years.

The Vineyard School rated 'good' in Ofsted Inspection:

The Vineyard School, in Richmond has been rated 'good' following a routine inspection from Ofsted, in November. 

The inspection took place on 7 and 8 November 2023 and the report was published at the beginning of this month. 

The school was last inspected in June 2013 where it received a rating of 'Outstanding'. 

Ofsted found that pupils are happy, feel safe, and enjoy the school.

Night time road closures planned for George Street:

Richmond Council has announced that there are night time road closures planned for Richmond's George Street.

George Street in Richmond will be closed from the junction of Red Lion Street to outside number 80 for mobile crane operations overnight on Saturday 27 January and Saturday 10 February 2024.

Richmond House Fire:

A man sadly died in a house fire in Richmond on Monday evening.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Roadworks on Friars Stile Road set to run until start of February:

The roadworks currently in place on Friars Stile Road are set to run until February 1, Richmond Council has confirmed.

The road works are situated outside the shops on Richmond Hill and some of the pavement to pedestrians.

A crossing is also not in use.
