A coffee shop in Richmond is reopening, nearly six months after a lockdown-enforced closure.

Kiss The Hippo in George Street announced its return in a newsletter to subscribers titled 'It's good to be back'.

"Home is where the heart is… and our heart is in Richmond," the company said.

"That's why we couldn't be happier to be opening our Richmond cafe back up for takeaways.

"Safety is obviously our main priority, so we're doing everything we can to keep everything hygienic – including contactless payment and sanitisation stations."

Kiss The Hippo has been selling various blends of coffee from across the globe via its website.

It also runs home brewing workshops at its Richmond shop in which its baristas reveal the key techniques to help you brew high quality filter coffee at home.

They are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays and last for two hours.
