Richmond town centre will shine bright once again this festive season as Be Richmond's Christmas Light Switch On returns on Thursday, 27 November.

From 4pm, George Street will close to traffic inviting visitors to shop, eat, and celebrate the start of the festive season.

At 5pm, the Riverside Radio stage will host a packed line-up of family-friendly entertainment, including performances from the much-loved Wickedly Witches, Basil Brush, and a range of local acts guaranteed to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

The festivities will feature special appearances from the Green and Pink Witches, The Grinch and Cindy Lou, Candy Cane Stilt Walkers, and giant Nutcracker characters.

Then at 5:45pm like last year, the Mayor of Richmond will take to the stage for the official switch-on ceremony, lighting up the town centre in sparkling Christmas lights.

Be Richmond said: "Join the celebration and experience the joy of Christmas in Richmond. We can't wait to see you there!"

And for those looking to keep the festive spirit going, Be Richmond will launch its "12 Days of Christmas" competition on 1 December, offering 12 prizes from local member businesses.
