Police officers will be missing from the streets in the local community over the coming days after the teams were called into central London to help cope with the Extinction Rebellion protests.

A tweet from the St Margarets police twitter account confirmed a change of scenery stating:

The protests taking place in London have drawn at least 10,000 people since Sunday in the name of climate awareness, demanding urgent government action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Nearly 200 arrests have been made as their result after demonstrations including surrounding police in a giant human chain and gluing themselves to a giant table.

Richmond Police retweeted details and video footage of officers preventing officers from blocking a road
