Richmond Police is inviting Locals to join its female officers for a women and girls' 'Walk and Talk' to discuss concerns, issues or to just have a chat.

The event will take place from 3pm – 4pm on 22 January at Heatherfield Recreation Ground.

The meeting point for this walk will be at the entrance point by the children's play area, closest to the cemetery end of the park.

The Walk and Talk initiative involves female officers buddying up with women from their communities to go out on patrol in open spaces so that they can hear first-hand their experiences, concerns and reflections.

The aim of the walkabout is to start a conversation between the public and officers about their safety concerns and what police can do, working with partners, to address them.

Officers are also happy to discuss any other issues or safety concerns you may have.

Walk & talks are open to all women aged 18+ and girls who are accompanied by an adult aged 18+.
