Richmond Council shares details of Remembrance Day services across Richmond

Richmond Council has put together a list of all the Remembrance Day services being held in and around Richmond.

These services will give residents the opportunity to pay their respects to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts. 

Most events will consist of a parade of armed forces veterans, civic dignitaries and religious officials, a service and two-minute silence at 11am. 

Remembrance Events

Richmond

Parade starts in Old Deer Park and will process to Whittaker Avenue, where a service will be held at the War Memorial 

  • Time: Parade begins at 10.15am, service at 10.40am, wreath laying at 11am
  • Attended by: The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Clare Vollum

East Sheen

Parade begins at Sheen Lane Centre Car Park, East Sheen, SW14 8LP. The service will be held at the East Sheen war Memorial from 11am. 

  • Time: Assembly at 10.30am
  • Attended by: Cllr Julia Cambridge

Barnes

St Mary’s Church, Church Road, Barnes, SW13 9HL 

  • Time: Service starts at 10.55am 
  • Attended by: Councillor Fiona Sacks

Ham

St Andrew's Church, Church Road, Ham Common, Richmond, TW10 5HG 

  • Time: Parish Communion at 10am, procession at approximately 10:45am
  • Attended by: Cllr Andree Frieze

Petersham

St Peter's Church, Church Lane, off Petersham Road, Richmond, London, TW10 7AB. A wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Petersham War Memorial at 11am. 

  • Time: Service starts at 10am
  • Attended by: Former Cllr, Sarah Griffiths
