Richmond Council opens consultation to review Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ) in Kew, Richmond.

The consultation will allow residents and businesses to provide feedback on "how the CPZ in their specific area operates."

Richmond Council is seeking feedback on CPZs KA KB and KC - all of which are in South Kew, North Kew and Kew areas.

The council say: "This consultation seeks feedback from all properties in Kew on how the schemes are working and whether any changes should be made.

"This includes seeking views on whether the CPZ's operational hours/days are about right or need to be changed and whether the boundary/formation of the zones should be altered."

The parking zones in Kew were last reviewed in 2020 which at the time showed no support for a longer operational period nor for event day controls to be introduced to provide protection when events are held at Kew Gardens and Brentford Football Club, the council found.

Richmond Council is also reviewing on whether to adjust the boundary of Zones KA and KC and if it should create a new Zone KD.

The proposals would see property Nos 336 to 358 Kew Road inclusive, and all properties in James Cottages and Gloucester Court will be situated in, and only be able to apply for, parking permits for Zone KC.

The potential new Zone KD would mean residents in Nos 292 to 322 Kew Road can only apply parking permits for this new zone.

Richmond Council say: "The above proposals are aimed at improving parking conditions for all residents of this part of Kew Road, by re-distributing some of the parking demand to Zone KC, where most spaces can be used by permit holders of Zone KC.

"These changes are being proposed as part of an overall review of all controlled parking zones in Kew."

Consultations for these proposals can be found here.
