Richmond Council has offered reassurance after the closure of two pharmacies in the Hampton North Area.

They said: "We are aware of the recent closure of two pharmacies in the Hampton North area and are working closely with system partners, including the NHS, to review this.

"We want to assure those who live and work in the area that we are working closely with the NHS and other health partners and will continue to support NHS England in their decision-making related to local service provision."

Residents impacted by the closure can use other nearby pharmacies:

Residents who would have previously used one of the now-closed Boots pharmacies for prescription pick-up or delivery will be able to access the same services at the other local Boots pharmacies.

Richmond Council said: "We are also aware that the closure of two pharmacies in the area has increased demand on the remaining pharmacy at Station Approach.

"The Richmond Health and Wellbeing Board Chair has issued a letter to this pharmacy and senior managers at Boots to ask for assurance that additional resource will be provided to support this increased demand."

People who have concerns about the recent pharmacy closures or would like to submit a complaint can do so by contacting the local NHS by:

Telephone: 0800 026 6082

Email[email protected]

Or by writing to: NHS South West London ICB, 120 the Broadway, Wimbledon, London SW19 1RH

Healthwatch Richmond, the borough's independent health and social care champion, has also launched a short survey to further understand how these pharmacy closures have impacted Hampton residents.
