Richmond charity, Skylarks is "proud" to be a finalist at the European Diversity Awards 2024 alongside major brands like Colgate-Palmolive, Kellanova, and Centrica.

The awards, the longest-running of their kind in Europe, recognise excellence in diversity and inclusion across business, charity, and individual efforts.

Nominated in the Charity or Not-For-Profit of the Year category, sponsored by Optum, Skylarks Charity is celebrated for its dedication to supporting children with disabilities and their families throughout the UK.

Skylarks provides "essential" activities and therapies, aiming to make a meaningful impact on children's lives. Other finalists in this category include European Transgender not-for-profit TGEU, France's Tout Le Monde Contre Le Cancer, and the UK's Talent Beyond Boundaries.

Aaron Guiver, Managing Director of Skylarks, commented: "The announcement of our finalist status was an incredibly proud moment for everyone involved with Skylarks. Being recognised alongside other exceptional individuals, organisations, and networks from across Europe, highlights the excellence of the vital work we do every day in championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

"Congratulations must go to the hard work of the Skylarks community, team, volunteers, and the families we support. It is our collective dedication that truly makes an incredible difference in the lives of children with additional needs and their families."

The European Diversity Awards also recognise and celebrate business leaders, networks, and campaigns that have championed inclusion across age, disability, gender, race, religion, social mobility, and sexual orientation.

Major companies like Colgate-Palmolive, Kellanova, and TJX Europe are contenders for the DHL Company of the Year category, while Next Tech Girls and Spain's Eurofirms Foundation Tech Academy are finalists in the Diversity in Tech category.

Established in 2010, the European Diversity Awards continue to advocate for diversity and inclusion across Europe, even as civil liberties face increasing challenges.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, 8 November at the InterContinental London Park Lane and will be hosted by Sky News presenter Kamali Melbourne.
