Mignonette Bistro in Kew, Richmond has officially started serving hungry bellies from 5 September last week.

Mignonette's front of house features an interior with simple yet clean finishes of browns and greys throughout.

The new eatery is from restauranteur, John McClements, who has come out of retirement after previously operating the award-winning French bistro chain Ma Cuisine - also in Richmond.

As of now, Mignonette is feeding diners from its sample lunch and dinner menus, which feature dishes such as: King prawns with garlic, crème de parmesan, roast chicken crumb; Grilled miso-glazed quail, wild mushrooms, caramelised salsify; Shallot Tatin, chicory, pear and vegan blue cheese (vegan); Dry-aged Sirloin steak & short-rib ragu, red wine jus, salsify, pomme aligot and 'Butcher's plate' - stuffed pig's trotter, calves sweetbread, ox cheek bordelaise.

The restaurant say it wants to serve high-quality, but "affordable" French-inspired cuisine in "comfortable yet elevated" surroundings, cooking with sustainable and seasonal ingredients to the area.

Mignonette also admit it is "thrilled" to share its sample lunch and dinner menus with residents as it opens to reservations and walk ins, although recommends bookings due to 'limited tables'.

The restaurant will be open all day Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm to 10:30pm, but closed on Mondays.

In November, Mignonette will open its 40 seater private dining room for parties, birthdays, work functions and rugby packages.

Mignonette is a five minutes walk from Richmond station, and located just off the A316 Junction on Kew Road with on-street parking.
