The next Twickenham Repair Café takes place on Saturday – October 15 - as the movement to repair and reuse household products gathers momentum.
Across the country, small groups of enthusiasts are helping households bring broken and tired products, which might have been thrown out, back to life.
Interest has been fuelled by BBC programmes such as The Repair Shop, while even King Charles, has added his backing to the movement.
A spokesman for the group said: "Vast amounts of stuff gets thrown away and many people have forgotten that they can repair things themselves.
"Changing mindsets can kindle people's enthusiasm for a more sustainable society and show people how much fun repairing can be.
"The way the Cafe works is that people will bring along their broken items from home and a volunteer will, not only repair the item, but also share their skills to give people the confidence to do their own repairs in the future."
The Repair Café operates on the third Saturday of every month at St Margarets Church, St Margarets, between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
Hundreds of people have been helped so far, including famous names such as the Twickenham MP, Munira Wilson.
