The world famous Red Arrows will fly over Richmond this weekend to mark the 75th anniversary of VJ Day.

The UK-wide flypast on Saturday, August 15 will see the unit flying over the UK's four capitals - Belfast, Edinburgh, Cardiff and London.

It marks the landmark anniversary of the moment which brought an end to fighting in the Second World War.

Atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki killing an estimated 100,000 people and forcing the Japanese to surrender, a moment known as Victory over Japan Day.

The Red Arrows will fly over Richmond in its fourth and final flight.

They will leave Cardiff at 5pm and are scheduled to reach Richmond at 5.28pm.

The arrows are so fast that they will then reach Chelsea by 5.30pm!
