US fried chicken chain Popeyes has submitted an application to extend the operating hours of its Richmond branch.

Currently, the location on The Quadrant operates Sunday to Thursday from 8am to 10pm and Friday and Saturday from 8am to 11pm.

Under the proposed changes, the restaurant would open:

• Sunday to Wednesday: 8am – 12am
• Thursday: 8am – 1am
• Friday and Saturday: 8am – 2am

However, between 1am and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, orders will be available for delivery only.

Popeyes, a Louisiana-inspired fast-food chain known for its signature chicken sandwich, opened its Richmond branch on 4 May 2023.

Residents have until Thursday, 10 April 2025 to make representations.
