Pop-up store in central Richmond shuts early

A furniture and electronics shop in Richmond has closed.

Electro Mobile Gadgets and Vapes opened last autumn in the former Superdrug premises in George Street.

The shop sold mobile phones, accessories and laptops and carried out repairs for damaged screens and software installations.

Manager Mehram told Richmond Nub News in September he had taken out a year-long lease on the store and if the shop proved successful, he would look into extending its stay in Richmond by up to 10 years.

Shops have been forced to operate in difficult trading conditions with non-essential stores closed throughout the November lockdown and for much for 2021.

Staff at Electro Mobile Gadgets and Vapes were packing the store up earlier today (Tuesday, February 9).
