A new electronics and furniture shop has opened in Richmond.

Electro Mobile Gadgets and Vapes is occuping the former Superdrug premises in George Street.

It specialises in repairing mobile phones and laptops, replacing damaged screens and installing software.

The store also sells a range of vaping equipment and home furniture including beds and sofas.

Its manager Mehram told Richmond Nub News that he has taken out a year-long lease.

If the shop proves successful, he'll look into extending its stay in Richmond by up to 10 years.

The shop has only just opened but Mehram said trade was good and customers have been friendly.

"They're very nice," he said. "Polite and they just want stuff done professionally."

It has opened just across the road from House of Fraser, which closed yesterday (Sunday, September 20).
