Picnic and listen to live music for the Poppy Factory

By The Editor 14th Aug 2020

The third open air concert in Marble Hill Park takes place this weekend.

Hundreds of people flocked to the Oval Lawn last Sunday to watch the Perrin Jazz Collective.

This Sunday, August 16, Elizabethan-era music group The Lovekyn Consort are performing from 2-3pm.

The events are free, but any donations given on the day to Marble Hill will help ensure the future of the site as a well-loved community space.

Operation Picnic!

Visitors are also encouraged to picnic in aid of the Poppy Factory to help wounded, injured and sick veterans move back into work.

The charity is based on Petersham Road in Richmond.

For picnic and fundraising ideas please visit the charity's website.

Who else is performing

Greg Tassell and piano/harpsichord (opera/folk/popular) are playing on Sunday, August 23.

If you missed last week, fear not.

The five weeks of concerts conclude on August 30 with The Perrin Jazz Collective making their second performance.
