Richmond Riverside was blocked this afternoon after the river flooded its banks.

The walking path between Richmond Bridge and the Three Pigeons Plot opposite Terrace Gardens was completely unusable.

Water levels had risen even higher at the bottom of River Lane in Petersham.

The Thames flooded the crossing and had risen about 10 metres into the bottom of the lane and into the nearby meadows.

Three bicycles which had been locked up may have got a bit wet, as did a VW Polo.

The tide is now falling as high tide was at 1.22pm. Click through the carousel at the top of this story to see all eight pictures.
