A passenger was "taken ill" yesterday afternoon (Monday, 18 August) at Richmond station, disrupting services.

Due to the incident, lines towards Clapham Junction were closed until 7pm that evening.

South Western Railway (SWR) confirmed that services were running as normal following the disruption.

In a post on X, the operator said: "Trains are now running normally following a passenger being taken ill at Richmond and there should be no further delays to your journey.

"If you were delayed by 15 minutes or more, you may be entitled to claim compensation."

For live train updates and details on compensation, visit SWR's website here.
