Fully flexible toddler childcare launched by Outstanding Richmond nursery
An Outstanding pre-school nursery in Petersham is launching toddler sessions, giving parents fully flexible childcare.
From this September at Sudbrook School, children aged 1-2 can attend sessions from 9.30am-12.30pm, run by a highly qualified and experienced nursery teacher.
Parents can sign up their children for five mornings a week, or for as few sessions and hours as they wish, with minimal notice.
Sudbrook principal Jo Jotischky believes this makes her nursery stand out from traditional nurseries which require a greater commitment and longer hours.
Mrs Jotischky said: "There is very little provision for children of this age group – parents either need to accompany them to play groups or sign up to full-time day care.
"We want to provide something more flexible to help parents who need to free up time but don't necessarily need full-time daycare."
Sudbrook's staff are highly experienced and have been praised by Ofsted for their exceptional skills in providing the best learning environment for children.
Toddlers will have their own designated soft play section in the spacious Petersham Village Hall with access to a well-equipped enclosed garden, messy play area and resting and sleeping section.
The school, set in the beautiful private road Bute Avenue in Petersham, was formed in 1962 and has held an Outstanding rating from Ofsted since 2010.
Generations of parents from Richmond have sent their children to the pre-school nursery – former Richmond Park MP Zac Goldsmith was once a pupil.
