Six more Richmond pubs are reopening tomorrow (Monday, July 20).

Boozers have been allowed to open since Saturday, July 4 but not all pubs took the opportunity to do so immediately.

Young's runs dozens of pubs in South West London alone, and six in Richmond.

All of them opted for a delayed reopening - and that first pint will taste all the sweeter for it.

The chain is going cashless to reduce touch points and keep staff and visitors safe.

Customers have been urged to download the Young's On Tap app which lets people book tables, order food and drink and split the bill and pay.

Socialising Responsibly since 1831

While the drinking experience may be different for customers of popular Riverside venue The White Cross, it has promised: "We'll still be your much loved local pub".

Employees have been in the pub's beer garden giving the benches and furnishings a fresh lick of paint ahead of the long-awaited reopening.

The pub tweeted: "We're missing you and looking forward to opening responsibly when it's safe to do so for our communities and our teams. We're proud to have been Socialising Responsibly since 1831."

The Old Ship

A notice in the window tells of the King Street pub team's excitement at reopening.

They wrote on Instagram: "You know what this means Richmond. Team Old Ship is getting ready for you!

"We're super excited to be reopening on Monday, July 20 and looking forward to welcoming you back."

And there's more

The Shaftesbury, Marlborough, Lass O'Richmond and Orange Tree are all opening their doors on Monday too.

Happy drinking folks.
