A MAN has been charged following a series of knifepoint robberies at supermarkets in Richmond, Ealing and Hounslow.

Domingo Henderson, 45, of Corner Fielde, Streatham Hill, was arrested last Thursday, February 25 on Northfield Avenue in Ealing by the Met's Flying Squad.

He has now been charged with five robberies, two attempted robberies and one count of possession of a bladed article.

The charges relate to a series of incidents between October 16, 2020 and February 17, where it is reported that over £25,000 worth of cash and goods were stolen.

In five of the cases, the suspect is alleged to have waited for the store to be opened by staff members, before threatening them with a knife.

He then stole cash from the tills and on occasion, cigarettes, alcohol and scratch cards.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court last Friday, February 26 and was remanded to appear in custody at Kingston Crown Court on March 26.
