Less than a week until new store is set to open in ex-Topshop space!
A new shop is due to open at the beginning of next month in Topshop's former premises in Richmond town centre.
A note in the window tells shoppers: "Apologies for the inconvenience.
"This store will be closed for two weeks while we carry out some works internally.
"We hope this will make your shopping experience more enjoyable when we return.
"See you all again on (Tuesday) September 1."
The ambiguously worded message has been in the window for at least 10 days.
Race against time?
Management appear to have their work cut out to get the shop ready in time, with just six days until the return date.
The shop has not been remotely fitted out and there are heaps of scrap material on the floor.
A new company in Richmond?
The identity of the new shop also remains a mystery.
Topshop says it has permanently closed and those involved with the refit have been tight-lipped when asked what the store will be by Richmond Nub News.
We'll keep a close eye on this one to see how it unfolds!
