Kew Society seeks new volunteers ahead of 125th anniversary celebrations

As the Kew Society prepares to celebrate its 125th anniversary, the long-established local charity is appealing for new volunteers.
The organisation, which has played a leading role in preserving and enhancing the character of Kew, is currently looking to fill four key roles: Chair, Membership Manager, Events Development Lead, and Communications Lead.
Kew Society said: "Do you care about Kew? Could you spare a few hours each month to help the Kew Society?
"As we approach our 125th anniversary, we are looking to recruit four new team members."
The Roles:
- The Chair will lead the organisation, help set its strategic direction, chair meetings, and build the foundations for the next generation.
- The Membership Manager will be the main point of contact for new and existing members, manage subscriptions, and contribute to the charity's leadership team.
- The Events Development Lead will be responsible for creating a programme of talks, walks, workshops and social events for members to enjoy.
- The Communications Lead will oversee the charity's external communications, including the website, newsletter and social media, and develop a strategy to grow its reach.
Each role is voluntary and ideally suited to people living in Richmond upon Thames.
Those interested in getting involved are invited to arrange an informal chat with Shiona Williams ([email protected]) or Trevor Whittaker ([email protected]) before 31 July.
