Kew Gardens has announced that it will be closed today (Wednesday 20th September) due to adverse weather conditions.

It is predicted that winds could be up to 40mph today, with the Met Office issuing a yellow rain warning for London.

In a statement on social media, Kew Gardens said: "Kew Gardens will be closed today, Wednesday 20 September, due to adverse weather. If you have a pre-booked ticket, your ticketing provider will be in touch with more information. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused."

Some areas of Richmond Park are also closed today as a result of the weather conditions.
