A young female jogger was grabbed in an attempted kidnap at Redlees Park earlier this week.
The police cordoned off the area in the park for a search and have launched an investigation.
The mother of the 26-year-old victim said: "A man grabbed her from behind and pulled her towards the bush.
"She fought him off and sprinted all the way home. Thankfully she is fine, still a bit fearful. The police were fantastic. They are treating it as a kidnapping and the forensic team were great."
She said that her daughter, who suffered some bruising in the tussle and fall, had been wearing headphones at the time of the attack, which occurred in the early evening.
"She didn't see him as he grabbed her from behind, she fell to the ground and he fell also. She elbowed him and got up and ran… There were quite a few people in the park I was quite surprised no-one helped."
The mother was so alarmed that she ran back to the park that evening to try and find the attacker.
Other park users in the Isleworth area expressed their shock and thanked the family for issuing the warning offered their support to the family.
The mother said her daughter had been overwhelmed by the positive messages of support from the local community.
One local said: "I am local to this park and have a toddler who plays there regularly, this is terrifying. So relieved to hear your daughter is okay and really do hope her offender is caught to prevent this happening to anyone else."
Another said: "It's such a terrible and frightening thing to happen in our neighbourhood. I'm very relieved that your daughter is fine. I'll certainly be more cautious about running in the dark."
Details emerged on the Nextdoor app where other women revealed details of frightening incidents involving male strangers, including at Thornbury Park and in East Sheen, pointing to a wider issue.
Another woman revealed that she had been sexually assaulted in Crane Park on September 15 by a man who has not been caught.
A police spokesman said: "Police received a report that at 18:48hrs on Monday, 8 November, a woman aged 26 had been grabbed by an unknown man into a bush area in Redlees Park, Isleworth.
"She was able to break free and ran away to seek help. The woman is being supported by officers. Enquiries are ongoing."
