The restaurant, café and plant nursery recently won the 'Best Business' accolade in the Richmond Business Awards.

It is a magnet for celebrities and locals alike and prides itself in having played an important role in the local community during the pandemic.

Earlier this year, the restaurant, café an tea room won a 'Green Michelin star' for sustainable gastronomy in a new category announced by the Michelin Guide. This recognised its consciously sourced produce and environmental ethos.

Petersham Nurseries employs 170 staff with 80per cent of them living within a five-mile radius.

A spokesman said: "We are looking for a passionate and experienced sommelier who wants to work in an extraordinary restaurant environment combining glass houses and outdoor dining."

The position is one of a number currently being advertised by the business, including pastry chefs and waiting staff ahead of the Christmas period.
