Richmond’s Vineyard Boutique shortlisted for UK’s Favourite Charity Shop after just one year

Richmond's Vineyard Boutique has been shortlisted for Favourite Charity Shop in the UK, earning a spot in the final six for the London category, despite being open for just a year.
The Paradise Road shop now finds itself listed alongside national names like Mary's Living & Giving and the Salvation Army, after standing out from more than 5,000 charity shop nominations across the country.
The shortlist recognises the hard work of the Vineyard Boutique team, led by Shop Manager Melinda McHugh and Assistant Manager Hannah Ryland-Brown, and supported by more than 50 volunteers who help make the shop a vibrant community hub.
The boutique is one of the fundraising arms of Vineyard Community & Richmond Foodbank, a charity that supports people facing homelessness, food poverty, mental health challenges, abuse and addiction.
Services include a Crisis Drop-In, Foodbank, Women's Hub, and Refugee Hub.
Selling vintage and preloved clothing, jewellery, books and gifts, the shop gives items a new lease of life while raising vital funds for local services, and many donations are also passed directly to those who are homeless and in need.
Shop Manager Melinda McHugh said: "I feel very proud and overwhelmed that Vineyard Boutique, which has only just turned one, has been shortlisted for this award.
"I would like to thank all the staff, volunteers, customers and local community for helping to make this happen. We couldn't have done it without you!"
Voting for the UK's Favourite Charity Shop is now open until midnight on 2 October. To vote click here.
