Improvement works are set to get underway at Pools on the Park in Richmond as part of a wider investment programme funded by Richmond Council.

The upcoming works will see the creation of a new multi-purpose studio and the refurbishment of toilets in the café area, aimed at improving accessibility and the overall visitor experience.

Work is due to start in the coming weeks and is expected to be completed by the end of March.

The initial phase of investment includes:

  • A new multi-purpose studio designed to encourage greater activity for people of all ages and abilities
  • Refurbished café toilets to provide improved facilities and accessibility

The multi-purpose studio works are scheduled to begin on Monday, 26 January, with café toilet refurbishment starting on Monday, 9 February.

While the café will remain open throughout, toilet access may be temporarily adjusted during the works.

These improvements form part of a broader plan for the centre, with further proposed upgrades including refurbishment of the gym and changing rooms, improvements to the swimming pool area, and enhanced sauna and steam facilities.

The works support Richmond Council's Leisure Strategy, Richmond Moves for a Healthier Borough, which aims to help more residents lead active, healthy lives in welcoming community spaces.

Visitors are advised that there may be some noise or temporary access changes while work is ongoing, but alternative routes and facilities will be clearly signposted.

Staff will also be available on site to assist customers during the improvements.

More information about Pools on the Park and its facilities can be found on the Better website here.
