High winds force closures in parts of Richmond Park and Bushy Park

The Royal Parks have closed off parts of Richmond and Bushy parks this afternoon due to safety fears.

The Royal Parks have closed off parts of Richmond and Bushy parks this afternoon due to safety fears.

At Richmond Park, the organisation said: "Due to an increase in wind speed in certain areas of the park, as of 2pm today the Isabella Plantation and Pembroke Lodge Gardens (café will still remain open) will be closed to the public for the rest of the day."

Bushy Park is experiencing high winds.

In relation to Bushy Park, it said: "Due to an increase in wind speed in certain areas of the park, as of 2pm today the Water Gardens & Woodlands Gardens will remain closed to the public for the rest of the day."
