A British bakery chain set to open its next location in Richmond has revealed a potential opening date in a recent update.

Heidi Bakery announced last year that it would open its latest coffee shop inside Richmond Station, with the launch originally expected in late October or November 2025.

The brand has now said that work has begun on constructing the shop inside the station this week.

"We've spent the week starting the build inside the beautiful 1930s Art Deco Richmond Station," Heidi Bakery said in an Instagram post.

"It's a bit 'rubbly' right now, but we're loving the contrast between the grit and the original Art Deco details."

Heidi Bakery now expects a late February opening, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Founded in Windsor, Heidi is known for its made-from-scratch approach, producing everything from pastries and savouries to cakes and fresh salads in-house.
