Independent bakery Heidi has announced plans to open its latest branch in Richmond later this year, bringing its award-winning handmade pastries and cakes.

The new bakery, expected to open in late October or November 2025, will be located within Richmond Station as part of its ongoing restoration project.

Founded in Windsor, Heidi is known for its made-from-scratch approach, producing everything from pastries and savouries to cakes and fresh salads in-house.

The bakery has also been recognised at the Great Taste Awards, winning accolades for a number of its products, including the coveted 3-star Chocolate and Hazelnut Cruffin, a 2-star Chocolate Mirror Glaze Entremet, and 1-star awards for its Butter Croissant and Salted Caramel Brownie.

The Richmond branch will also serve speciality coffee made with Heidi's own bespoke blend, roasted in partnership with Mozzo.

Edward Durkin, Director of Heidi, said: "We've always wanted to open in the beautiful town of Richmond and think we've found the perfect spot.

"We're especially proud to be coming in as part of the wonderful restoration of Richmond Station. Heidi Richmond will have one of our most beautiful counters yet, filled to the brim with quick-service, handmade food for commuters, visitors and locals alike."

The opening follows the success of Heidi's seventh branch in Chelsea last year. With one of its busiest sites located at Windsor Royal Station, the team says Richmond feels like a "natural next step" for expansion.
