A group which aims to support sports clubs and initiatives in Richmond borough has invited them to apply for a grant.

Since launching just over two years ago, SporTedd has raised significant funds via events with top sports speakers such as Lord Coe and Sir Clive Woodward.

It has already given donations topping £12,000 to 12 locally sport-themed projects.

These donations have ranged from £500 to £2,000 and have been awarded to schools and charities across the borough.

It has helped them provide vital kit and equipment, creating a lasting sporting benefit.

SporTedd chair Stuart Higgins said: "Many organisations have had a very tough time during the pandemic and their ability to raise funds through events has been impossible.

"The local council and, in some cases, the government has provided some kind of lifeline but SporTedd may be able to help make a difference during these difficult times.

Visit the SporTedd website to apply for financial support.
