GCSE Results Day 2025: Richmond Nub News will provide all the GCSE results from the borough's schools as they come in.

Kew House School

Kew House School reveal that a third of this year's GCSE results were Grades 8 and 9 (credit: Kew House School).

This year's Kew House School results were the very highest 8 and 9 grades (equivalent to A*) and these top grades were even higher across the sciences, with 77% of Physics results, 71% of Chemistry, 70% of Further Maths and 58% of Biology achieving grades 8–9, reflecting the "depth of dedication and talent across the cohort".

The school say it is "particularly proud" of this year's Value Added score, which shows that on average, pupils achieved half a grade higher than predicted across all of their subjects.

Amongst many inspiring stories from this year group, is that of Rhys Mason. In December 2024, Rhys suffered a serious ski accident that left him unable to attend school for many weeks.

He missed his mock exams entirely and faced the daunting challenge of balancing recovery with preparation for his final assessments.

Alongside hours of physical therapy and rehabilitation, Rhys showed immense determination and with the support of his teachers and peers, he was able to succeed against the odds.

Reflecting on his journey, Rhys said: "The school helped me so much by not pushing me, telling me to take my time and supporting me with the mental side of things — and that is so important."

Kew School believe his courage and self-belief, coupled with the care and guidance of the school's community, exemplify the spirit of its motto 'Together We Grow'.

Headteacher Will Williams commented: "These results are more than numbers on a page, they represent years of hard work, character, and the spirit of Together We Grow.

"We are enormously proud of every pupil for their achievements, not only for their academic success but for the resilience, kindness and teamwork they've shown along the way."

Christ's School

Christ's School on Queen's Road achieves a record-breaking year of GCSE results.

The school say there were tears of joy and cries of delight as students and families came in to collect their results.

Students achieved among the school's highest ever Attainment 8 score, with performance across all subjects significantly above national averages.

A third of students secured top grades of 9–7 in both English and Maths, and this year's cohort also recorded the strongest ever EBacc results in the school's history.

Amongst the highest scoring students were Toby B, Guy F, Ava L and Maya M who all celebrated 10 grade 9s each, with 13% of all grades recorded as grade 9s.

Headteacher Helen Dixon said: "We are incredibly proud of all our students. These results are a testament to their resilience, dedication, and talent.

"They also reflect the consistently high teaching standards at Christ's School and the unwavering commitment of our staff to provide the very best opportunities for every child. To see so many students achieve such incredible results is truly inspiring."

Deputy Headteacher in charge of Curriculum, Alice Buchanan, added: "Christ's is on an amazing academic journey, with our results going from strength to strength each year.

"We are well on our way to becoming one of the top performing schools in the borough, and this is testament to the relentless hard work and dedication of our team at Christ's. We could not be prouder!"
