It's been an extremely chilly spell in Richmond.

Snow was falling over the town in the early part of last week, and the freezing weather meant it stuck around.

These photos were taken around town on Tuesday, February 9 - click through the carousel at the top of this story to see more pictures.

Thankfully, temperatures have started to pick up.

There will be highs of 13C today (Monday, February 15) and the weather will continue climbing to 16C by the weekend, when near wall-to-wall sunshine is forecast.
