Fresh pavement spells end for recycling bank near Richmond Bridge

By The Editor 21st Dec 2020

The recycling bank on the way to Richmond Bridge is no more.

A new pavement has been laid on Richmond Road near the site of the new Lidl supermarket and Deer Park School.

Part of the renovation of this area involves the recycling point being moved to a new location.

The containers to recycle your unwanted cans, glass, plastic, paper and card can now be found at the entrance to Marble Hill Park near the Rising Sun pub.

Shoes need to be left down the road near York House and there are further public recycling sites at Whittaker Avenue off Hill Street in Richmond town centre and on Petersham Road.

A notice has been attached to the railings of the former Richmond Road site.

It tells residents that there is a new weekly recycling sack collection service.
