Remember the Six Nations earlier this year? The annual rugby championship was postponed because of the pandemic four matches shy of completion.

But now it's back and Richmond pub The White Cross has an amazing offer for fans.

The pub said: "As the Guinness Six Nations' Championship grand slams on to our screens this Saturday, it's time to don your shirt, secure your turf and catch all the incredible action from your local!

"With Ireland facing off Italy on home turf this Saturday (October 24) and Super Saturday on October 31 promising a full day of rugby excitement and an unmissable showdown, get ready to celebrate every breath-taking tackle and try this Championship.

"Simply book a table to dine with us for any Guinness Six Nations' game this Autumn and we'll reward you with the first round of Guinness.

"Terms and conditions apply. A free round of Guinness is available to those who book a table to dine during a Guinness Six Nations' game."

Fixtures

The tournament resumes with Ireland vs Italy at 3.30pm this Saturday.

As the White Cross says, next weekend truly does promise a Super Saturday as there are three matches taking place.

It begins with Wales vs Scotland at 2.15pm, followed by Italy vs England at 4.45pm.

The Six Nations concludes with France vs Ireland from 8.10pm.

This match could prove pivotal in deciding the outcome of the tournament, especially if England fail to win their remaining match. England and France are tied at the top of the table with 13 points each and a points difference of only two separates them.

Twickenham hosts the Barbarians

There is more international rugby and it's happening on our doorsteps with England vs Barbarians at Twickenham this Sunday (October 25).

Some 18,000 fans were due to flock to South West London to watch the match inside the stadium and it was announced that the drive-in coronavirus testing hub at Twickenham Stadium would close as a result. This was then reversed and the testing centre remains open.

But the recent rise in Covid-19 cases nationwide has meant that the match will be played behind closed doors.
