Eat Out to Help Out extended: final week for many deals in Richmond

Two pubs in Richmond have issued a call to customers to cash in on its 50% off food and drink offer.

Such was the success of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme in August that many businesses kept the discount running throughout September - without government reimbursement.

The Cricketers off Richmond Green and the St Margarets Tavern have both continued the savings this month.

So pay them a visit today or tomorrow (Wednesday, September 30) and take full advantage!

"It's your last week to catch this amazing deal, don't miss out!," the Cricketers said.

Popularity of the scheme

Richmond residents proved they love their food last month.

An incredible 86,000 meals and drinks were discounted in the Richmond Park constituency area under Eat Out to Help Out.

The deal gave customers half-price food and soft drinks on Monday-Wednesday, up to saving of £10 per person.

Now another pub has come up with a similar enticement for diners.

The Angel and Crown in Church Court posted on Instagram: "Monday blues?

"Here's some good news we will be bringing back the 50% discount on all food Monday - Wednesday!"

Riverside bar Pitcher and Piano also has a terrific offer on its house cocktails. P&P is offering them at buy-one-get-one-free between 4-9pm, every week day (Monday to Friday).

"Perfect excuse to try something new for half the price!" they said.
