Filming about to begin in Richmond for latest season of sitcom

Stars are in town to record the latest instalment of an American sitcom based in Richmond.

Ted Lasso is about an American football coach who switches sport after being hired to coach the English soccer team AFC Richmond.

Season 1 of the show, starring Jason Sudeikis, aired on Apple TV+ last year.

Film crews were in Twickenham recording scenes for the sitcom last week.

Today they are in Richmond and will be filming at various locations on the riverside.

One of the locations appears to be Gaucho: the restaurant has been renamed Shipley's Steakhouse.

Three large lorries with recording equipment are parked up near the Old Town Hall.

Look out for the pink arrows if you are in town!

Apple TV said: "Time to start warming those biscuits. Production for Ted Lasso Season 2 has officially begun!"
