Exhaustive list of misdemeanors tackled by police in Richmond Park

Police revealed an extraordinary list of incidents officers responded to in Richmond's Royal Parks on Saturday.

It was stunning weather in town and huge numbers of people flocked to Richmond and Bushy parks.

Royal Parks Police said: "So today at Richmond Park officers assisted with:

  • an unexploded device (believed WWII) just outside Bog Gate
  • excess of 100 warnings given to people getting too close to the deer
  • in excess of 20 warnings for people feeding the deer, including 1 person holding the deers antlers
  • 4 warnings for off track cycling
  • 49 parking tickets issued
  • 1 collision reported
  • 2 warnings for dogs off leads
  • 50 warnings for reckless cycling
  • a call to a group of 30 people filming
  • call to a fire & party in Bushy Park (no trace)
  • anti-social behaviour calls resulting in 7 people being reported for being in the locked Children's playground at Bushy
  • 2 covid fines issued
  • numerous calls to vehicles/ persons locked in Richmond Park
  • officers still on duty tackling groups of youths gathering in Bushy Park."
