Two months on from the government-backed Eat Out to Help Out scheme, dining out discounts are continuing in Richmond.

A Cena - at the foot of Richmond Bridge - is offering the same perks to customers who visit for a meal.

Eat Out to Help Out gave diners 50% off their food and soft drinks, up to a saving of £10 per person, in August.

The money saved by the customer was reimbursed to the participating pub or restaurant by the government.

It proved so succesesful at getting people back into the habit of dining out, that many businesses in Richmond continued to run it in September at their own expense.

Now A Cena restaurant on Richmond Road, run by husband-and-wife Tom and Jade, has announced they will be offering the discount to diners on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in October.

They said: "We are very happy to announce that thanks to an amazing response we will be extending Eat Out to Help Out through October!

"Join us for 50% off your food bill Tuesday & Wednesday and help us to celebrate another month of dining together.

"Note: The maximum discount is £10 per person, and offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers."
