UPDATE: Man injured by a train, ambulance service confirms

There has been a serious incident at St Margarets Railway Station.

A huge number of emergency service crews are at the scene (Wednesday, September 9).

We understand that a person was injured and that they have already been driven away by an 'advanced trauma unit' for treatment.

All lines have been reopened but trains are not calling at St Margarets and disruption is expected until 3.30pm.

South Western Railway said: "We received reports that emergency services were dealing with an incident between Twickenham and Richmond.

"Our response teams worked with the emergency services to assist and all lines have reopened."

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to St Margarets station in West London at 12:14pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended and a person has been taken to hospital.

"The incident is being treated as non-suspicious."

We have contacted the London Ambulance Service for further information.
