Man injured by a train, ambulance service confirms

A man has been hit by a train at St Margarets Railway Station.

The ambulance service said he was "assessed for multiple injuries and taken to hospital".

It happened shortly after noon today (Wednesday, September 9).

Witnesses told Richmond Nub Newsthe casualty was driven away by an advanced trauma unit vehicle.

There was a disruption to services earlier but it has now returned to normal.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 12:16pm today to reports of a person injured by a train at St Margarets station.

"We dispatched a number of resources to the scene including two ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and our hazardous area response teams. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

"A man was assessed for multiple injuries and taken to hospital."

British Transport Police said: "The incident is being treated as non-suspicious."
