The Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has today announced he is delaying the start of term for schools in Richmond.

The new measures apply across all Tier Four regions.

Pupils in exam years will begin their studies on January 11th.

Non-exam year students are set to go back on January 18th to allow mass testing to be put in place at the school.

Most primary schools will go back as planned on January 4th.

Universities will reduce the number of students allowed on their campuses.

All university students should be offered two rapid tests on their return to their studies.
