Cyclists told to ride with 'extreme caution' on accident blackspot

By The Editor 13th Apr 2021

Signs have been installed at the top of a hill in Richmond Park after a number of cyclists came off their bikes and suffered serious injuries.

There is a steep, curving road down from Broomfield Hill where cyclists naturally pick up fast speeds from.

Royal Parks Police said: "After several cyclists have come off, some with serious injuries, we have put some signs out just before Broomfield Hill in Richmond Park to warn those that may be going down it for the first time."

The signs read:

Sharp bend cyclists caution slow down

Accident risk. Sharp bend. Cyclists ride with extreme caution.
