Crews called over 'person impaled on fence' in Richmond Park

Ambulance, fire and police crews were called to Richmond Park today after a man suffered a leg injury.
Richmond resident Alistair Parkes reported the incident and shared footage of fire crews rushing through the park to the scene.
"Emergency teams responding to reports of 'person impaled on fence' between Pen Ponds and Royal Ballet School' in Richmond Park.
"Three fire engines, one police car, one paramedic and an ambulance on scene," he said.
Makeup artist Kate Pope said there was a "huge" emergency service presence in the park around Sheen Gate.
"Blue lights everywhere," she said. "Hope it was nothing too serious."
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.24am today (April 9) to reports of a person injured in Richmond Park.
"We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a car, and an incident response officer.
"A man was treated at the scene for a leg injury and taken to a hospital."
