Richmond is fast catching up with the overall infection rate for London after registering 323 new cases in just the last ten days.
More than a quarter of our total number of infections (1,156) have come in this period.
As we reported yesterday, Richmond has the worst weekly infection rate in London, at 112.1 new cases per 100,000 people in the population.
Richmond Council then announced that it had found that 70 of its recent cases were those of young people now living in university cities including Leeds, Manchester and Durham. Council leader Gareth Roberts called for a review of the data and said it was the "testing shambles of the week".
We are awaiting a response from the Department of Health and Social Care on this.

Advice for residents
Cllr Roberts stressed the need to follow covid health and safety guidelines in a video message which you can watch above.
"We need to make sure that we are washing our hands wherever possible, wearing a face mask or covering properly when travelling on public transport, in shops, supermarkets or similarly enclosed public spaces," he said.
"We need to make sure that we are following the rule of six (no more than six people gathering at one point indoors or out) and, of course, maintaining a social distance of two metres wherever possible."
"Failing to follow the rules is directly impacting on other people's heatlh and other people's jobs," he added.
