The Parent Staff Association (PSA) of Marshgate Primary School was one of the big winners at the National PTA Awards 2023.

The team at the 'outstanding' school in Queens Road has won the PTA of the Year award for England.

The judging panel commended Marshgate PSA 'For going above and beyond to make their PSA inclusive of their diverse community and embracing families that joined the school during the covid year.'

It also praised the group for supporting parents on Mother's Day.

As part of the award, Marshgate PSA will receive £1,000 towards its fundraising pot.

The current committee's term comes to an end in July, with the majority of its core members having recently committed to continue for another 12 months, including Chair Tom Panagos, who has been spearheading the team since January 2022.

Marshgate PSA will have the award on display during its Summer Fair, its biggest fundraising event of the year, which takes place on Saturday, July 1.

Working with the local community is at the heart of the committee's efforts, who are looking forward to working closer and creating partnerships with businesses in the borough.
