A man was taken to hospital after a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Richmond.

The incident happened on Kew Road on Saturday, November 14.

Richmond Cycling tweeted: "Kew Road closed with very unpleasant looking motorcycle and car incident. You can still cycle slowly through on the pavement, but no car through traffic."

Local blogger Richmond Transits said the road was blocked in both directions near the Lion Gate entrance to Kew Gardens.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.05am on November 14 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Kew Road, Richmond.

"We sent two ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a car, and an emergency responder. The first of our medics were at the scene in five minutes.

"A man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital as a priority."

We hope he makes a successful recovery.
