Changes to plans of a three storey building and a one to three storey building on Priests Bridge, East Sheen have been approved by Richmond Council.

The latest planning application proposes a "modest alteration to the front and rear buildings" of previously approved plans for the site, which include the demolition of the existing structures to make way for seven flats in one building and two flats, along with parking, cycle storage, and a refuse store in another.

Approved yesterday (22 October), one of the alterations include a new corridor link on the ground floor to connect the two commercial units, front and rear.  

Another is the creation of a separated access and amenity space to the first floor commercial unit to the rear building. 

The changes to the plans will mean one less parking space to the overall build.

In the latest application it states: "The tenant would like to take the whole ground floor space, therefore the two spaces (buildings) need and indoor link."

However, two residents submitted objections to the latest application of these plans with the reduction in parking being the main concern.

On objector says: "I object to the removal of one parking space. This project will already create increased parking pressure in the area and one space lost on site will increase the local problem." 

Another comments: "I object to the proposal due to the loss of the parking space without any proposed mitigation measure. Parking and congestion are a continued issue on Priests Bridge and White Hart Lane and this development will increase those issues.  

"These has been raised as observations and objections to the multiple proposals already submitted for this development."
